Boundaries

When people take advantage of us, it is because we have allowed it. It is because we did not stand up for ourselves. It is our own fault.

~Paola Seminario

I believe this to be very true. I think it translates through both our personal and professional lives. While there are certain things we must endure to take our business to the next level, we must also know when to draw the line. Whether it is a boss, an employee, a coworker, a colleague, or a B2B, we must learn to recognize the signs when someone is crossing the lines and taking advantage of us or our business. We will not get far if we do not learn to set up boundaries. If a client is continuously eating in our restaurant complaining about the food and getting free meals, we are not going to make money. Sometimes, cutting your loses will keep you in business.
